Community Development & Infrastructure

This Team works on issues relating to the lack of resources and basic  infrastructure due to the widespread destruction resulting from the 20 year Bougainville conflict and post war aftermath.

The Team's plans for the first 2 quarters of 2015, set out in detail in the CDI Quarterly Program and Register, were to:

Starting walling for new library

• Develop the Resource Centre policy and procedures (including borrowing rules and procedures)
• Plan layout of the Resource Centre library and arrange for shelving to be installed

• Sort the resources (from the shipping container) into categories within 3 sections:

  

  Resources waiting for unpacking and sorting

• Education - Kindy (3-5 years), Elementary (6-9 years), High School & Adult (16+ years) 
• HWC Projects - Community Development & Infrastructure, Environmental Education & Advocacy, Women's Integrated Action & Advocacy, Digital Media, Photography, Computer & Office
• Spiritual - Sunday School, Youth, Adult

• Establish a catalogue systems and start cataloguing library & resources
• Prepare for library Official Opening on 16 April 2105
• Arrange for visits and borrowing by affiliated educational groups
• Organise library activities for the World Environment Day (28 April)
• Plan for ongoing Resource Centre developments.
